Long Distance Rower

Long distance rower Philly Joe passing through Rhode
Island.
Philly Joe is on a canoe
trip. His plan is to circumnavigate the contiguous 48 states
and most of Mexico. So far his
trip has taken him from Texas,
along the gulf coast, around the Florida keys, and up the
east coast into Maine for a total of over 6,000 miles. Most of this
was done in the Intercoastal Waterway. He plans to continue across Canada,
touching on Alaska, down the west coast, through the Panama Canal, then back
north to Texas. When he is done, he will have traveled over 24,000
miles.
Joe has selected the FrontRower as his
propulsion system. The above picture was taken the summer of 2006 as he passed through
Rhode Island. Click
