Note: this dummy page is to remain hidden from navigation. It is used only to get links to hidden (special) product pages. There is no easy way to get this link (because the page is hidden), so follow these steps:
NOTE: USE METHOD 2
Method 1:
1. Create the item in the item library as "hidden".
2. Click "save and review" and you can find the product description and product number (but not the actual page). However the "link tool" (used later) will know the actual page.
3. Then make a link on this dummy page by typing "link to blah blah" and highlighting it, then by using the link tool and choosing "link to product page" you can find the product page listed in the tool.
4. Not sure if you need to "unhide" this page to copy the link. Answer: Yes, you do. You need to publish the unhidden dummy page and follow the link from it to the actual product page to copy the link.
5. Copy the link from the published hidden product pagethis page and send it to the customer.
6. Make this dummy page "hidden in navigation" again.
Method 2:
To send somebody a "link" to a hidden product page, you need the URL address of that page. (You can send them that URL address as the "link", or highlight some text and create a link from that text to the URL.)
The only way to get that URL address is to visit that page on-line with your browser and copy the URL shown in the address bar. This will be "frontrower.com/store/(something).html".
But if the page is hidden, you can't get to it with a browser. So you have to:
1. Make it visible. (You do this in the product library.)
2. Publish it.
3. Go to your website in your browser and find the temporarily visible product page.
4. Copy the URL to your clipboard.
5. Then you can paste that into an email and send it (or link some text to it). And you might as well paste it into this dummy page too, so you can find it again if you need it.
6. Don't forget to make the product page hidden again (in the product library).
7. And make sure this dummy page is hidden too (in the editor).
